We need your help- we have had some feedback that our FRONT parking lot in the morning for drop off needs some redirection and some gentle reminders due to safety. In the past, we have had Parent Volunteers in the Parking lot directing traffic, flow and the crosswalk. We currently do not have that (we may be bringing that back) but ask that we keep the drop off flow in one single car line. We also ask that you pull up to the furthest spot that you can before stopping and letting students out on the curb side when getting out of the car. Parents also need to wait for the car in front to finish and not pull out on the left side due to student safety. If you have a student in a car seat or a booster seat, or a student that needs extra time please pull up to the front parking spots closest to the playground or any empty parking spot to keep the traffic flow running smoothly and ensuring the safety of your child. Please DO NOT PARK in the car drop off line. If you have any questions please let us know. THANK YOU!!!!
Don't forget to bring in your PJ's for our Pajama Drive. We still need quite a bit to reach our goal. Involve your child in the process and teach them about "giving", especially to children who are less fortunate than we are. We are blessed to partner with St. John Vianney to help those in need this Holiday Season. It's always fun to have your child pick out a few in their own size to donate. We have bins in the front, inside of the school. Lets "FILL THEM UP"!
Don't forget to buy your Tickets for the next "St. Mary" night with the Spokane Chief's. December 7th--the "Teddy Bear Toss" ! If you have never experienced this, now is your chance. It's Incredible. Don't forget to bring a few Teddy Bears! More details in the weekly.
Have the best week everyone!
Blessings,
Mrs. Roberts

4) We know that students occasionally forget to bring their lunch, and we accommodate for those times. We are now implementing a small fee for any time after, that a student does not have lunch. We provide Lunchables (Turkey or Ham) and will charge a 5.00 fee AFTER the one time courtesy lunch for a student. Contact the office with any concerns or questions.
Have a great week everyone!
Blessings,
Mrs. Roberts

Last month I wrote a column where I explained how our scores compare to that of our public school counterparts. This week I’d like to report to you how St. Mary is doing in comparison to the other diocesan schools.
The first thing anyone sees when they walk through the front door of our school is our future saint of the week wall. Although it may seem obvious that we do this to celebrate the wonderful things that our students are doing, there is a bit more to why we do this. This week I’d like to dive into some of the thinking behind this project.
This year we are diving deeper into that mission by helping every student have a deeper and personal
relationship with Jesus Christ in our 2024 school theme, “Journey with Jesus."
What is a our Academic Standing in comparison to our Washington State and local Spokane Valley Public School districts? We're VERY proud and can't wait for you to see the academic advantage we give our students to attend St. Mary Catholic School!
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Back to School night last week. The main topic that I covered was our school's financial picture. Please continue reading to see why we need your help and how your efforts can have big returns for your student's education!
In our St Mary Catholic School Principal Mr. Hart's first blog post, he gives details to his experience for why Catholic Schools fulfill our primary goals for educating the whole child.
