DEADLINE: Thursday, June 13, 2024
Registration Fee: $100
Late fee after 6/13/24: $125
Practices could begin as early as August 17, 2024.
Your Coach will contact you about practice times and location. Students are required to complete a certain amount of practices prior to playing in any games (varies per sport).
Games may start Sept. 21, 2024.
Students are required to attend school (minimum half day attendance) on the day of all sports games or meets. If student is absent on the day of games/meets (or goes home early from school due to illness) they cannot participate in the game/meet that day.
Practice and game schedules will not be available until the end of summer/beginning of fall. If there is any interest in participation, we recommend signing up now and wait to see if the schedule works for you before submitting the registration fee. Just let the office know if you will not be able to participate in the sport in the fall.
Games/practice locations may vary. Some games are played at Gonzaga Prep and an entry fee for all spectators (including the athlete's family) is charged. It was $5 a family this year.
All parents, volunteers must be Virtus Safe Environment trained and have a current background check on file. Volunteers are responsible for yearly online training updates and renewed background check every 5 years to keep an active volunteer status.
All students, parents, volunteers must follow the athletic code of conduct listed in the school handbook. Failure to abide by handbook rules could be subject to exclusion for the remainder of the season or permanently.
Priority participation will be given to registered students of St. Mary or St. John Vianney. Space permitting, parish members of St. Mary, St. John, or St. Joseph's may be eligible to register. All Valley Catholic Sports applicants applying from the parish must be a registered as a member for at least 6 months before participating in a sports team.
Please make every effort to fill out this online registration form by the specified deadline. We cannot guarantee a place on the team or a uniform if you do not submit your registration promptly.
Team composition is determined by the received registration and by the deadline date.
The deadline is important as we need to decide if we must combine with other grades or another school to create a team or divide a team into two as we may have limited participation to ensure adequate play time for all. Returning a late registration, may be limiting not only your own student's playing time, but it may also affect the players who registered on time for the team.
Limited sports fee scholarships are available. Preference will be given to families who qualify for free and reduced lunch. Please contact the Bookkeeper (Sharon Greany at St. Mary: [email protected] or Joan Olson: [email protected] at St. John Vianney) or the Athletic Director (Abigail Smick: [email protected]) for more information.
